ETHICAL CONDITIONS
FOR EDITORS
TJHS Journal Editorial Board follows the editorial policy set by the “World Association of Medical Editors (WAME) Board of Directors”. Our TJHS Journal is based on Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) flow charts in cases of possible abuse or violation of scientific publication ethics. www.publicationethics.org
The format of the manuscripts should be arranged according to the journal rules and the rules prepared by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). Authors should submit manuscript drafts in accordance with international guidelines: Randomized studies CONSORT, observational studies STROBE, diagnostic value studies STARD, systematic review and meta-analysis PRISMA, meta-analysis of observational studies MOOSE, animal-based studies ARRIVE, and nonrandomized behavioral and public health studies It should comply with TREND guidelines.
TJHS Journal accepts in principle to comply with the ethical standards of the Declaration of Helsinki (http://www.wma.net/en/30publications/10policies/b3/index.html). For this reason, it should be stated that ethics committee approval was obtained in the Materials and Methods section of the manuscript in all studies conducted on humans. The patients or volunteers with whom the study was conducted should be informed about the procedures to be performed and their consent should be obtained, and this should be stated in the Material and Method section of the article. In animal studies, it should be stated in the Materials and Methods section of the article that the study was carried out in accordance with the principles of the Laboratory Animal Care and Use Guide (www.nap.edu/catolog/5140.html) and ethics committee approval was obtained from the relevant institution. If necessary, a copy of the ethics committee approval can be requested from the authors by the editor.
FOR REFEREES
Referees should consider the following points.
Our TJHS Journal adopts the criteria of the International Council of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the World Medical Editors Association (WAME) and the Publication Ethics Rules (COPE). Regarding attempted plagiarism, it will be based on the workflows set out in COPE.
Ethics committee approval of the study will be requested from the authors for all submitted original research articles.
Submitted articles can be checked for similarity and plagiarism with the help of plagiarism programs whose URL addresses are given below.
